Jovit Baldovino – The New You Tube Sensation from Pilipinas Got Talent
In his own rendition of Journey’s Faithfully, Jovit Baldovino captivated the audience of the new television show “Pilipinas Got Talent” and much like Susan Boyle did, will undoubtedly capture the hearts of the whole country as well as the world! “Pilipinas Got Talent” a brand new show, well at least in the Philippines, and the discovery of talented Pinoys is already shown to be overwhelming.
Jovit Baldovino is a 16 year old boy from Batangas, and after his performance, one of the shows judges even cried with emotion and then compared him to current Journey singer Arnel Pineda, also from the Philippines.
With this performance Jovit Baldovino is once more proving that great things come in small and unexpected packages. He is a humble boy who stands on his own. By day he attends school and sells “siomai” after class to supplement his family’s meager income.
There is no doubt this boy will be a hit maker with his unbelievable voice. His voice will most like change as he matures, but for now he sounds fantastic, sings well and has a natural flair for interpreting songs with his unique style.
He can surely go a long way in this industry. If this show catches on like its counterparts in the States and Britain, even if he doesn’t win Baldovino will most likely receive countless opportunities to sing either with an established act or as a solo artist.
Arnel was placed with Journey because of a video he had on You Tube that was discovered by the band. Imagine the opportunities that wait for Jovit!
During the show he also related what his true desire and goal is and that is to rescue his family from a life of poverty. After seeing this performance, there is no doubt that Baldovino not only made the Batanguenos proud, but the whole nation as well. Keep your eye on this kid!
