Convergys to expand its Philippines contact center operations
Convergys Corporation will expand its contact center operations in the Philippines, adding five new contact centers there, the company said Tuesday.
The company already operates nine contact centers in the country, which employ about 13,000, according to a news release. The new centers will add another 7,000 jobs.
“Our continued growth is based on demands from our clients, and our clients are telling us that the service experience provided by the dedicated and talented employees in the Philippines is excellent,” said Marife Zamora, vice president and country manager for the Philippines, in the release.
Three of the new centers will be located in or near Manila, and one each in Santa Rosa and Cebu City, the company said. They will handle technical help desk services via phone, e-mail and Web chat, along with back-office application and document processing.
Convergys, headquartered in Cincinnati, provides customer care, human resources and billing services worldwide.
